Single Phase Brake Motors With High Torque Brake – Series EMCMotek's single phase brake motors series EMC with high torque positioning brake allow the precise stopping and holding of the position when no voltage is applied. They are designed for positioning applications and do not require any special maintenance, except for reinstating the air gap when needed.
The motor's compact construction with run – and possibly also starting – capacitors fitted inside the terminal box makes it ideal for operating high inertia loads.

To release the brake, feed the electromagnet coil via a rectifier. A hand release lever is available on request.
